On July 20, 2010, MTV announced that the entire cast, with the exception of Angelina. Season 3 was shot back in Seaside Heights, New Jersey over the summer. Filming began on July 25, 2010 and ended on September 4, 2010.
After initial announcements that Angelina would not return for season 3, there was much speculation that she has been replaced by Deena Nicole Cortese, a longtime friend of Snooki and a self-described "class in a glass and party in a body". However, Angelina has refuted the rumors, stating that Deena was already scheduled to appear on the show and is not functioning as a replacement cast member. In a sneak peek released by MTV, the antics are as crazy as before, with a vuvuzela as a 'grenade whistle' and Sammi and JWOWW getting in to part 2 of the fight in Miami, with Sammi eventually leaving after punching Ronnie. MTV confirmed on August 6, 2010 that Deena has been added to the third season cast.
